The Lexington Refugee Assistance Program recently held a “Blowout Arts” Fundraiser to raise money for refugees seeking asylum. BEI Emeritus Fellow Regie Gibson contributed to this event by acting as artistic director, as well as by writing refugee themed pieces for the event. Gibson said of his role in the event “It was a big opportunity that I wanted, and relished, to shape the direction of performance.”
