BEI Fellow Melissa Tuckey recently read her poetry on ecological subject matter, “with explicit references to recent disasters caused by hurricanes, flooding and wildfires.” Turkey was reading over the playing of Cellist, Matt Haimovitz,who made twists on some of Bach’s works to create a slightly melancholy and captivating sound. The two together challenged listeners at the museums and created an intelligent and artistic statement for the audience to ponder.
