BEI Emeritus Fellow, Debra Marquart will join Mount Marty College (MMC) during its 9th season of the Great Plains Writers Tour with the addition of a Writers Symposium. MMC students and community members are invited to participate.

The event brings award-winning professional writers to Yankton to hold readings, discussions and writing workshops. The three authors – Christine Stewart-Nunez, Stephen Coyne and Debra Marquart – will be first-time visitors to MMC. They will discuss different types of writing at the workshops: fiction with Coyne (11 am), poetry with Stewart-Nunez (1pm) and nonfiction with Marquart (2 pm).

All three writers will read pieces of their work at 7:15 p.m. that evening in Marian Auditorium, the same location the workshops will be held in.
