Annie Finch is an award-winning poet and writer on earth-based spirituality. Her books of poetry include Spells, Calendars, Eve, Goddess Poems, The Poetry Witch Little Book of Spells, and a ritual drama about abortion, Among the Goddesses: An Epic Libretto in Seven Dreams. Annie holds three degrees in literature and creative writing, including a Ph.D from Stanford University. She shares her knowledge of poetry in books and anthologies including A Formal Feeling Comes: Poems in Form by Contemporary Women; Villanelles; The Body of Poetry; and the textbook and online community A Poet’s Craft. Annie is also the creator of Poetry Witches Workshops for women of any level of writing experience, offering a holistic path of growth and self-awareness through rhythmical writing. Annies poetic collaborations with theater and music feature at venues including Carnegie Hall, American Opera Projects, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and she is the founder of Poetry Witch Ritual Theater, weaving poetry, pageantry, and earth-centered ritual. She has been quoted and interviewed by The New York Times, National Public Radio, and Voice of America and performs her work across the U.S. and abroad.
